L'univers du jeu(ÉPISODE #2/7)
Depuis votre fenêtre de Bureau, dans les brumes matinales que le soleil peine à dissiper, au loin, vous apercevez furtivement une laie et ses 3 marcassins foulant les sols durs et les herbes blanchies par les gelées matinales .... pas l'ombre d'un homme dans les zébrures embrumées des coteaux avoisinants. Nul doute, l'hiver est là ! La Vigne déshabillée de sa robe automnale s'endort maintenant délicatement. De jour en jour, la sève descend vers ses parties les plus vitales. Elle se protège et se prépare à affronter les rudes conditions météorologiques hivernales de Champagne.
Dans la maison Familiale, c'est déjà l'effervescence, au rez-de-jardin, votre Grand-mère maternelle et la grand-tante s'affairent au fourneau et préparent la traditionnelle Potée Champenoise. À deux portes de la cuisine, Alice, Olivier et Christian sont sur le pied de guerre et vous attendent autour d'un café, avant la grande revue de projet programmée aujourd'hui, concernant les investissements futurs du domaine.
Christian a de bonnes nouvelles à annoncer concernant l'acquisition de nouveaux raisins. Un courtier de son réseau lui a fait part d'une petite parcelle de Chardonnay à vendre, à quelques kilomètres de la maison. Parcelle sur laquelle il s'est rendu et s'est immédiatement positionné. Selon lui : "C'est un petit bijou ... à l'exposition parfaite, abritée des vents, aux sols riches et suffisamment ensoleillée." Il fait part aussi d'une autre offre plus conséquente et plantée en Pinots noir de l'autre coté de la Montagne de Reims, pour laquelle il souhaite l'avis collégiale, tout en rappelant que le marché est trés tendu et qu'il faudra se décider rapidement, d'autres exploitants pourraient se positionner avant nous.
It is the turn of Olivier, the referent "Equipment and new works" to speak and alert on the dilapidation and the more than limited capacity of the current Pressoir. "If we significantly increase our supply of grapes, we will then have to find, before the next harvest, an additional pressing solution... the old press will not be enough!" he is alarmed.
Three weeks go by and Olivier comes back with 2 proposals concerning the Pressoir.
The 1st: Outsource the pressing of the surplus to the sector cooperative, but your grimace quickly suggests that you are not very cheerful at the idea of entrusting your precious grapes.
The 2nd proposal provides for the renovation and expansion of the traditional press, aiming to double its initial capacity. Olivier adds that for this solution, the timing is tight and the responses to calls for tenders show that the investment will be substantial. Here again, you have to decide quickly and not make mistakes! Several quotes are already established but it seems that only one corresponds to your long-term vision in terms of eco-responsibility. You would have liked a more eco-responsible pressing system with a carbon-neutral design, but it seems that the competition has already positioned itself on this type of press and no supplier is able to deliver you a site this year... you will have to make concessions!
A few days later, with your approval, Olivier proudly announces to the team that the investment has been validated and that the work order for the renovation and extension of the press has been launched. Delivery is scheduled before the next harvest and if all goes well, a "Bonus" subsidy will even be possible with the "Institutions for local wine development", if other investments were to be scheduled this year..._cc781905-5cde -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_
